Suzuyuki-Kai Odori Recital (Phoenix)
Every five years, the dancing part of SKMD will host a formal staged recital to showcase its students in Phoenix and Tucson. This year, it will be at the Herberger Theatre Center in Phoenix October 19, 2025 and begins at 1:30pm.

Suzuyuki-Kai presents “Yume” a commemorative performance honoring five decades of dedication to the exquisite art of traditional classical Japanese dance (Nihon Buyo). Experience timeless pieces from our repetoire, each playing tribute to refined beauty of kimono, the nuanced movement of a fan, and the deep emotional currents of Japan’s cultural heritage.

Similar to a Silver Sneakers class, we will blend light aerobic work into practice to make sure all students are being cared for, mind and body. North American Taiko Conference
SKMD will be volunteering, teaching, and helping to host to the North American Taiko Conference (NATC). This event is one of the world’s largest taiko gatherings and it is being hosted in Phoenix for the first time! Thank you Taiko Community Alliance for this amazing conference and we hope to see you there!
